Ditching restrictive dieting and creating sustainable habits to never have to lose weight again or be a prisoner to a diet plan!
That is what women over 35 I work with in my weight loss nutrition practice say they want to achieve as their goals.
They want sustainable habits. They want to lose weight and keep it off until they're 85 years old, but they don't know how to do it after years, often decades of restrictive dieting.
They feel like losing weight is impossible after years of food plans and diets that didn't work.
Imagine a young girl dieting since they were 10 years old because they thought they were fat.
Going to overeaters anonymous because you believed you were a food addict for wanting to eat a brownie or cookie from time to time.
Imagine doing nearly every traditional diet until your 50's.
Yet feeling like you are not where you want to be with your weight, habits and mindset.
Fearing food...
Not trusting your hunger signals...
Feeling hungry constantly and trying to willpower your way through that younger each day..
Only knowing how to restrict food and follow diet rules...
Imagine believing you can never eat less nutritious foods you enjoy only to binge on them when you get around them.
Imagine feeling like there's something wrong with you or... that you must be missing something... or that this is just a problem you have to live with.
Imagine feeling as though you can only healthy foods or you're failing.
When my client Terry contacted me in 2021, this was exactly how she felt. She only had 10-15 pounds to lose, but the weight she did have to lose felt like 100 pounds to her.
She wanted to lose weight but worried years of chronic dieting and following restrictive foods plans would make it impossible for her to create a lifestyle she could follow until she was 85+ years old.
Fast forward to 2024 and Terry has:
- Stabilized her insatiable hunger.
- Ditched her restrictive mindset with food and enjoys all foods she likes.
- Healed her relationship with food.
- Learned to trust herself with food.
- Lost body fat in a sustainable way.
Terry learned how to do these things through coaching and has maintained these habits from 2021 until now!
Terry's story is incredibly inspirational and I know you will learn something helpful from her you can apply to your own journey!
