Nutty Collagen Protein Bites! These no bake energy bites are loaded with healthy fat and protein! Chewy, slightly sweet and customizable to any nuts you like, these make a great breakfast or snack. Paleo + Low Carb + Gluten Free + Low Calorie
In case you didn't notice, it's snack attack on SF this week! Low Carb Peanut Butter Coolies and today, Nutty Collagen Protein Bites! I love a good protein packed snack like these Nutty Collagen Protein Bites too. While I try not to snack much, there's always those "oh crap" moments when you need something fast and quick.
You know those mornings when you realize you have to bring coffee to the office for a meeting, have carpool duty, or for whatever reason don't have time to grab breakfast?
Then you're stomach's growling at 10 am screaming at you to eat something. Those are the "oh crap" moments that get people in trouble most. They're more likely to turn to sugar for quick energy.
I always coach my weight loss clients to have a plan for those moments because you have to have a plan when eating healthy. These Nutty Collagen Protein Bites are great for those "oh crap" moments. Have them on standby in the fridge or the freezer so you can run with them out the door.
I used collagen to make these. It's such an easy way to build more protein in your diet, which a lot of people don't get enough of. I still get a lot of questions about what collagen is. Collagen is the most important protein in your body.
It's what makes up your nails, hair, skin, ligaments and tendons. The only I buy is easy to digest. I add it to many of my foods and liquids. You can't taste it so even picky eaters won't detect it.
Perfect for breakfast or a snack. They're balanced with carbs, protein, healthy fat and fiber. Only 1 gram of sugar and 88 calories each. My work here is done!
If you make them, tag me on Instagram. I love seeing your creations!

how many GRAMS of collagen? I don't use your brand.
would gelatin powder work?
Megan says
No, gelatin would not work. That only works to thicken things like sauces. I don't measure grams so I can't tell you exactly. I would start with 1/4 cup of collagen and see how it comes together. I'm guessing you could use up to 1/3 cup, but again depends on your collagen brand.
