I feel like winter is never going to get here. It’s been 95 degrees F in Arizona the last two weeks and while we did have a few days of cooler weather teasing of fall, it was short lived.

I must admit I love the heat, but I don’t love it so much when I’m trying to bake and shoot recipes. I’m sweating, the food’s sweating. It’s almost like a workout!

These days cooking and shooting feels like a workout as I hobble around the kitchen recovering from hip replacement surgery. It seems I’m having to retrain my brain how to operate this leg after 18 years of living with avascular necrosis. That’s tough when it’s something you’ve been doing since you were two. It feels like it should be so easy, yet it is so very hard.

But I’m not letting a little heat or this wobbly leg get in the way of my good food making, and no amount of work is worth passing up baking ever! Especially when it involves fudgy – sugarless brownies that are so ooey gooey that they melt in your mouth.

Even better, this sugar free brownie recipe!

I’ve discovered keeping my sugar intake low keeps my autoimmune disease in check which is why I’ve been on a mission to reduce hidden sugar in my diet, and I do that by eating more protein and fiber helps tremendously. It’s certainly a challenge, but it can be done and I feel amazing when I do it.

Raw cacao powder delivers just the right amount of natural sweetness while adding that ooey gooey, creamy, fudgey, rich brownie taste everyone craves while being no sugar brownies!

These no sugar brownies go so well with a cup of coffee with a dash of homemade pumpkin spice syrup, a healthier pumpkin spice latte, or even a skinny peppermint mocha!

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the icing on the “brownie.” Hehe!

EEEK! 95 degrees? Dang! It’s been unseasonably hot here in NC, but not THAT hot. I’m sending all the cool weather vibes your way! In the meantime I’d stay indoors and stuff these brownies down my pie hole on repeat, because these look AMAZING! Love that they are naturally sweetened too! I could definitely eat the whole pan, girl! Cheers!

    1. Megan says:

LOL! That’s exactly what I did. Stay inside and eat brownies. 95 is pretty “cool” for Arizona, but it’s actually 5-8 degrees warmer right now than it should be. It’s supposed to cool off next week. Crossing my fingers it happens for me & you. Thanks for the brownie love girl!
