I like cooking my quinoa ahead of time then blending up the smoothie the morning I’m ready to eat it. If that doesn’t work for you, you can alternatively blend the smoothie ahead of time, store in the refrigerator then marry it with the quinoa when you’re ready to eat. Either way works and it really is a breeze!
Oh, and I forgot to mention this Cherry Quinoa Smoothie isn’t just for breakfast either. You can have it any time of day. It makes a refreshing, filling and healthy anytime treat.
Cherry Quinoa Smoothie
For the Smoothie:
For the Quinoa:
- 1 cup quinoa cooked
To a blender, add frozen cherries, Greek yogurt, cranberry juice and stevia. Blend on high until smooth and creamy.
- Place half the quinoa in a glass and top with half the smoothie mixture. Place the other half in a second glass.
- If not sharing or eating immediately, keep in the freezer or refrigerator to eat later as desired.
