I'm excited to be sharing this Cherry Quinoa Smoothie with you guys today! It's one of my favorite ways to eat breakfast that isn't eggs, and you know how much I love my eggs. But here's the thing, breakfast is one of the biggest challenges for my clients and readers.

It's one of the most frequently asked questions. What can I have for breakfast that's easy to take with me on the go? What can I make in 10 minutes? What can I eat that isn't eggs. Well, you can put a checkmark next to all those questions because this breakfast does this and more!

When it comes to breakfast, it's easy to get caught up in the traditional eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, oatmeal rollercoaster. I tell my clients all the time why can't you have leftover dinner for breakfast or in this case, a Cherry Quinoa Smoothie?

Recently, I discovered Village Harvest Organic Ancient Grain Blend, a blend of red and white quinoa, millet and buckwheat. The perfect addition to this smoothie! Healthy, packed with protein and adds a solid, crunch to the smoothie. I layered the bottom of the smoothie with the delicious blend and stir it into the smoothie when I'm ready to eat.

Village Harvest Organic Benefit Blend varieties offer a distinctive combination of healthful goodness. They come in three varieties: Organic Antioxidant Blend, Organic Ancient Grain Blend and Organic Protein Blend.

Village Harvest defines social sustainability to not only mean caring for our planet, but also the workers that help to bring whole, healthy grains to your door. Village Harvest has pledged 1% of their profits to run programs that give back to the farmers and local communities from which they source their products.

You can get yours on the NEW Village Harvest Online Shop here. Then fire up the blender for your smoothie!

I like cooking my quinoa ahead of time then blending up the smoothie the morning I'm ready to eat it. If that doesn't work for you, you can alternatively blend the smoothie ahead of time, store in the refrigerator then marry it with the quinoa when you're ready to eat. Either way works and it really is a breeze!

Oh, and I forgot to mention this Cherry Quinoa Smoothie isn't just for breakfast either. You can have it any time of day. It makes a refreshing, filling and healthy anytime treat.

It's a great way to add in protein with a healthy carb.
