Stop Trying To Solve Your Weight With Food

Published: Mar 15, 2022 · Modified: Mar 15, 2022 by Megan

Stop trying to solve your weight with food. Yes! I said that. The women over 35 that I coach have done multiple diets, programs and even have worked with other practitioners before coming to me.

All the previous protocols they've done have only talked to them about what to eat, what not to eat, how many calories and why sugar is evil. None of this is helpful to a woman over 35 who has struggled with permanent weight loss.

You can know all the nutrition information in the world, but the only way your behavior with food changes for good is if you work on awareness around your behaviors, your mindset and how you deal with the reasons you eat when something in your life happens that makes you feel negative.

I share a client example in this Dish on Ditching Diets podcast episode about a client who came to a call blaming eggs for her inability to stay committed to her goals.

She was dealing with a lot of negative emotions and instead of dealing with her emotions, she was going on strike with her breakfast and blaming eggs for why she couldn't stay consistent. The truth was nothing she was going through had anything to do with the eggs and she didn't even realize it.

This is why having a coach is so invaluable. They can help increase your awareness, help you shift your mindset and fix the root cause. Many women over 35 are trying to change their food to lose weight when the food isn't the real problem. Stop trying to fix your weight with food!

In this Dish on Ditching Diets Podcast Episode, You Will Hear:

  • Client Who Went On Strike and Blamed Eggs
  • Why The Eggs Weren't The Real Problem & What The Real Problem Really Was!
  • How Knowing The Right Food To Eat To Lose Weight Is Useless When Emotions Take Over
  • The "A" Word Women Over 35 Commonly Do When Something In Life Happens
  • The Real Problem In Your Weight Loss You're Not Addressing
