I get asked a lot about my 80 pound weight loss. In fact, that's why I started this blog. To share everything I learned! The common questions I receive are how I motivated myself to lose weight, what my favorite weight loss tools are and how I've kept the weight off for 7+ years! Today I'm sharing with you my 6 MUST HAVE weight loss tools I used to lose 80 pounds. I hope they help you as much as they did me!
Fitbit
I love my Fitbit! During my weight loss, it kept me motivated to walk a little further everyday and it tracked my calories. I still have my original Fitbit from when I lost weight and wear it to this day. Now that I work from home, it's a good reminder to get up and move more throughout the day. The guy teases me that I wear one, but between you and me he could use the extra motivation!
Two Feet
This one's my favorite because I lost 80 pounds walking. You don't need to go to the gym or buy fancy gym clothes to lose weight. All you need is to put one foot in front of the other consistently, everyday!
Lose It App
Tracking my food with a weight loss app helped me understand tremendously how much I was overeating. For the most part, I was eating healthy but was eating too much and not the right balance of nutrients either. Tracking helped me stay consistent and accountable.
Most clients who come to me for weight loss help are generally eating healthy, but often are not consistently eating that way. Either that or, they're overeating without knowing it or not eating the right balance of macronutrients. Tracking helps them become aware of these things and make changes.
I love the Lose It app because you can scan food labels, create custom recipes, track macro's and set goals. Oh, and it's FREE too! There are other apps out there. This is just the one I started with years ago and has all my recipes so I won't be switching anytime soon. The point is if you're not seeing the changes you want, tracking your food is invaluable!
Collagen
I've talked about collagen so many times and can't say enough my love for it!
Collagen is a protein found in muscles, connective tissues, skin and bones. It's been shown to improve joint health, increase lean muscle mass, improve liver health and balance hormones. I drink it every morning with my coffee. It's an easy way to add lean protein to your diet which is key to weight loss and the one I buy is tasteless too!
Muffin Pan
This is my biggest kitchen hack for meal prepping and portioning food. I make egg muffins, protein packed muffins, oatmeal cups, boiled eggs and more. It makes breakfast on the go so easy!
Books
During my weight loss, I read as many books as I could about health and nutrition. I looked at my weight loss as an education process. I wanted to learn how to fuel my body so I could keep the weight off for good, and I did. Because I learned so much invaluable information during my weight loss, I wrote an eBook to share everything I learned with you!

Tracking is very helpful. Most people think they're eating healthy when they are not.

Muffin pans! It's amazing how much they can do, especially teach about serving size.
