In this Dish On Ditching Diets episode, learn why the scale goes up when you eat carbs and why you're not losing fat when you cut carbs.

A common confusion for women over 35 who are trying to lose weight are carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are one of the three macronutrient foods group (carbs, protein and fat). Women often believe carbs are the reason why they can't lose weight. They demonize carbs and think carbs are the reason they cannot lose weight.

The truth is you need to eat less food to lose weight not cut carbs. And, not all carbohydrates are created equal. There are different categories of carbs that do different things to hormones and satiety.

In this Dish On Ditching Diets episode, learn why the scale goes up when you eat carbs and why you're not losing fat when you cut carbs.

When you're trying to lose weight the best thing to focus on is eating a little less of your FAVORITE foods and practicing moderation with fun foods. Because unless you're willing to NOT eat carbs the rest of your life, you'll never maintain the weight loss.
