No Bake Healthy Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Balls with five ingredients that’s simple and easily customizable. A candy bar tasting goodie you can’t resist!

Do I ever have a candy bar tasting goodie for you today! Allow me to introduce you to healthy chocolate peanut butter protein balls. No baking required, only five ingredients, customizable and healthy!
These chocolate peanut butter protein balls made with protein powder are easy to whip up for a quick and tasty snack that’s better for you!

To make them, all you have to do is get your food processor or blender out for these bad boys. But first, highly important! You must roast the peanuts before doing anything.
I mean if there is one thing you should do in life, it is roasting the peanuts. The roast brings out the oils in the nuts and just makes them tasting amazing! You don’t have to, but I highly recommend it.

After you roast then all you do is blend, roll, refrigerate and devour, and when I say devour I mean devour. These peanut butter chocolate protein bars taste just like candy bars. They taste like Snicker bars to me. They are a simple, awesomely healthy and tasty treat!
Just in case you’re looking for an excuse to make more healthy goodies, I recommend trying these chocolate peanut butter protein cookies, chocolate protein cookie dough and chocolate protein bar recipe next!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Balls
Ingredients
- 1 cup peanuts, unsalted, raw
- 1 cup dates , pits removed
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 5 tablespoons chocolate chips, or dairy free chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Place peanuts on a baking sheet and roast in the oven 5-7 minutes. Once you start to smell them, they are done. If the peanuts are shelled, carefully remove the shells. They will come off easily after roasting.
- Place peanuts in a food processor or blender and blend on high several minutes until it turns into peanut butter.
- To the peanut butter, add the dates. Blend until the dates and peanut butter are incorporated.
- Next add the apple sauce and protein powder. Blend the ingredients together until thoroughly combined.
- Roll the batter into 12 balls. You may need to wet your hands a little to keep the batter together. Insert 3 dark chocolate chips into each bite. Place in the refrigerator 1-2 hours to set before devouring!
Notes
- Keep bites in the refrigerator up to 12 days or in the freezer up to 60 days.

Roasting is always a good idea!
These look like the perfect sweet treat to take to work!
I am definitely making these soon!
Yum and yum!
I’m a long time fan of Vega. I’m not a big sweets person so less sugar is perfect.
Me too!
My son (aged 10) and I tried these but swapped out the peanuts for cashews given the local could not offer anything but salted peanuts. We also had no applesauce but subsituted in 2 small apples which had been steamed to a pulp.
The mixture was so runny we added in the same amount of cashews again. its still really runny, far too hard to make balls in our hands so we just put scoops in the fridge on a plate. They taste delicious BUT they are still far too runny. This happens to me every time I make protein balls. Any tips?
I didn’t make mine this way but I’m guessing you used too much apple. You only need 1/4 cup applesauce which would be 1/4 of one small apple. You also could use regular peanut butter if you couldn’t find raw peanuts. Also make sure you’re using enough dates to make it sticky. They should be packed tightly.
