Wondering why your WHY isn't helping you lose weight?
Here are reasons I hear frequently from women why they want to to lose weight. "I don't feel motivated. I want to lose weight. I've been wanting to lose weight forever - I don't know what's wrong with me that I don't do the things I know I should do. I want to be healthy. I want to fit into my old clothes. I want to avoid health problems down the road."
Clients in my weight loss program for women over 35 and women I speak to say these to me all the time and are so confused because they want to lose the weight, but something is missing. Some motivation, some dedication, something!
NEWS FLASH! These weight loss WHYs are NOT good enough. They're unmotivated, vague and superficial. When a cookie {or your favorite} food is staring you in the face after you've had a bad day, your weight loss WHY of "I want to be healthy" won't be good enough, the food will win and you will feel shame and guilt for eating the food.
There's a reason women over 35 get stuck in this shameful, un-motivating cycle and it has to do with their self-talk and weight loss WHYs. Mindset is everything when it comes to weight loss. If you get your head right, you get your mouth right! Listen to this podcast episode to hear why your weight loss WHY isn't helping.
