Why you haven't lost the weight yet. Women over 35 are frustrated they can't lose weight and commonly feel overwhelmed and confused by what to do, and how to actually lose weight in a sustainable way without yo-yoing with their nutrition or relying on food for emotional reasons.

Women over 35 struggling to lose weight have not mastered what I call the 5 foundational habits. Weight loss is a lifestyle transformation and habits are everything when it comes to weight loss.

I commonly see these 5 foundational habits are all over the place for women over 35 who I coach. The truth is BEFORE you attempt to any lose weight you must practice these 5 habits over and over until you MASTER them.

Surprisingly, these 3 reasons have NOTHING to do with what diet you do or exercise you do. Listen to the podcast to learn what they are plus a helpful exercise you can do now to get to the bottom of this. Scroll below the picture to listen!

I am struggling to see changes even though i am in a calorie deficit, lift weights 3 to 4 times a week, and I believe I am eating healthy. I drink a lot of water. Sometimes plain tea or a caffeine free coke zero. Its been 2 weeks and i haven't seen any changes except weight fluctuations up and down. Maybe I am eating the wrong foods. Please help.

Since I do not know you, I can't say specifically. I can say that in general if you have been in a calorie deficit for too long i.e. 6 months or longer, the metabolism will down regulate. I spoke of that in my metabolism podcast episode. Also, eating healthy foods is not the same as eating to lose weight. I have a podcast episode that speaks about that topic too. In my experience, women are not moving enough (10k steps a day - this is not exercise), are not sleeping enough, reducing stress enough and are UNDER eating. Those are things for you to consider and I spoke of those things this podcast episode. The other thing is not being in a calorie deficit long enough (giving it enough time) and measuring foods properly. Two weeks is definitely not enough time and weight is expected to fluctuate in the beginning which is why I don't recommend using the scale rather measuring progress based on doing your daily habits and how you are feeling.
