This Make the Switch to Cleaner Water is sponsored by Primo®.  All opinions are my own.

Until I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and became a nutrition practitioner, I didn’t pay attention to how everyday things affected my body. Skincare, makeup, household products, cookware and water quality to name a few. These have a major impact on hormone health, metabolism, inflammation and disease development.

While drinking water is a healthy habit and one, I encourage all my clients do, water quality is JUST as important as drinking it. Harmful chemicals and solids are becoming more prevalent in-home drinking water.

Unfortunately, the water quality in Phoenix is very poor. You can’t drink water from the faucet due to high chromium levels. Remember the movie Erin Brockovich? This is the chemical she famously battled in real life.

This means you’re forced to buy single-use water bottles and or invest in another water solution. Most water solutions are not either convenient or cost-effective. I also have a water softener (another must if you live in Phoenix) which limits my options for water solutions.

For me, single-use water bottles have given me water life. Literally, and it always breaks my heart when I buy them knowing how many of those single-use bottles will go un-recycled in oceans or landfills. Not to mention, they’re not great for 100-degree temps as the plastic melts into the water. We don’t have to pick clean water OR the earth, we can have both.

That’s when I discovered Primo and it gave me water life…

Primo has high-quality water that goes through a multi-step purification process which includes reverse osmosis. Their moto “Drink Big Drink Healthy” reflects that!

They have dispensing solutions to fit any need. From   to countertop and portable solutions, they have everything you need to bring higher quality water to your home and it’s affordable too!

Unlike reverse osmosis solutions that cost thousands of dollars to install, Primo offers convenient and cost-effective solutions that are practical for anyone.

We have the and could not be happier. It arrives in one piece, so it’s simple to setup. The only thing we had to do was remove the plastic and plug it in!

For the water, we purchased 5-gallon Primo pre-filled bottles at Walmart. You can choose to exchange your bottle for a pre-filled bottle, OR you can use a simple refill machine. Therefillable water, you refill the bottles yourself, (such as getting your water dispenser bottle refilled versus purchasing a replacement bottle) won’t have added minerals in it.

And, they can be easily refilled or replaced at a Walmart, Walgreens or anywhere that has a Primo water dispenser station. They’re usually located inside the store near the cash registers or outside in front of the building or so you can easily fill it up and go! Their website has a with over 45K locations to purchase and refill.

We’ve been averaging one 5-gallon water bottle every 4-5 days. We drink a lot of water in our house! Here’s something that also makes me feel good: one 5-gallon bottle saves up to 1100 single-use water bottles. Sign me up! I’m excited to see how many water bottles we save over time using the Primo dispenser and water.

Primo is truly a practical solution for anyone to get cleaner, higher quality water in their home. Consuming high quality water is invaluable to your health and this solution allows you to make a significant impact on the environment too!
