Obsessing over the scale? Clients often tell me that the scale makes them feel negative, unmotivated and depressed. These negative feelings cause them to punish themselves either by overeating or under eating. Neither or those behaviors are helpful when it comes to lasting weight loss.

The truth is the scale is not all that helpful when it comes to weight loss... in the beginning.
