If you’ve ever wondered can you juice red cabbage, yes you can!

I know what’s your thinking. Blueberry red cabbage juice? Megan, you must have lost your mind. All I have to say is some of the best foods are some of the worst looking ones. Don’t knock it until you try it!

What does red cabbage juice taste like? Delicious! You cannot tell the cabbage is even in the juice. Promise!

Recently I listened to a speaker at my nutrition school talk about cabbage juice and how delicious it is so I was intrigued and had to try it myself and I was amazed by the flavors!

Speaking of which, I finished my life coaching class two weeks ago. The professor would send long motivational emails each morning which first who has time to read long emails and second she would say things like “go forth as one with the universe” “be your inner genius” “move forward with conscious intention.”

If you know me, then you know this stuff doesn’t vibe with me. I fully recognize it may be for some people. It’s just not for me.

What can I say? I have issues expressing my feelings!

I’m telling you this goofiness because I want you to know I am not one of those people who eats something healthy just because it’s healthy or in this case, drink. No, no, no! I don’t do health trends.

That would be no different than trying a new diet and as you know, I’m all about a balanced diet and including all foods. I march to the beat of my own drum and recommend you do the same. I’m just here to inspire you to try different things!

My experience has been that if something tastes like poo then I’m not going to stick with it for the rest of my life.

Who wants to eat or drink something that brings them zero joy? Yes, food is meant to be nourishment but it is also meant to be enjoyed!

So if there’s one NEW thing I recommend you try it’s this blueberry cabbage juice and I’m hoping it will bring you joy as it has for me. It vaguely reminds me of a Capri Sun Fruit Punch.

It’s refreshing and lucsciously thick and sweet with apples and blueberries with zero hint of cabbage. Cabbage is a lot like spinach. You can’t tell it’s there. Sneaky! So give it a try. What do you have to lose?

I’m not a fan of blueberries, do you think there’s anything else I can use in place of them?

    1. Megan says:

I’d try a different berry or cherries.

I would have never thought to make juice with cabbage but now that I see it, I want some, haha! It looks so good. I love the deep purple hue and I bet you feel like a million bucks after drinking it!

Oh yes! It’s so refreshing and gives the juice a lot of bulk and color obviously. It always gives me a little boost of energy when I drink it.

I try to find that balance between what I like and what’s healthy! Truthfully it’s tough to force anything solely for health benefits. Kind of wish I had a juicer now!

I give zero f’s about food trends. I am thinking about exploring collagen a bit more, though. But that is to come in a post. This actually sounds quite good!
