The hardest part about growing a business and blog are the mean people you get along the way. A friend told me this is a good thing because if you’re not making someone upset, you’re not reaching and engaging people. While I suppose there is some truth to that, it’s always heartbreaking for me when I get a nasty comment or message on social media.

It started last week when someone commented on my Facebook page on my low carb breakfast sandwich. The gentlemen went off on me for being a nutritionist promoting using a microwave to cook food. He demanded to know where I went to school and accused me of being in it only for money.

While I am running a one-to-one weight loss coaching program, I would never promote something just for the sake of making two cents. Besides that, who really believes microwaves are dangerous anymore? There’s no science to back that up.

It’s really unfortunate that when you have good intentions and you put it out into the world that so many people want to crap all over you. I suppose that comes with the territory, but it’s hard for me to not take that criticism to heart. Especially after everything I’ve been through and how much I want to help others.

If there’s anything I’ve learned in this, it’s that you can’t please everyone which is why I stay true to myself and share things I love and enjoy in my life. If I were trying to please everyone, this would be a dessert blog with the most drool worthy, chocolatey recipes you’ve ever seen. Because truthfully, those are the sites that do really well.

So here I am posting a healthy BBQ Salmon recipe. It may not be the sexiest recipe, but I’ve been eating it every week for months. Does that tell you something? That I’m always trying to make meal time easy while keeping it healthy and delicious!

I can’t stop making all the healthy barbecue sauce recipes! I love putting it on all proteins for an easy, healthy meal. So of course, I put it on salmon!

I always have salmon in the freezer that I order from Sizzlefish because I eat it weekly and it’s so much easier having it delivered right to my door. That way it’s in the freezer for whenever I want to eat it.

Tossed my salmon on a sheet pan with fresh green beans then topped it with homemade keto barbeque sauce and thyme. Baked it 20 minutes and dinner was done. Don’t believe how easy it is? Try it! Then make slow cooker barbeque chicken and use the leftovers to make a BBQ chicken bowl.

I swear that homemade low sugar BBQ sauce is the recipe that keeps on giving!

Negative comments means you are the SHIT – I love the trolls they mean you are reaching enough people it’s worth it. Ha ha I might be that friend that told you that! That doesn’t mean I don’t block mine though, immediately I block them, well after I’ve taken a screenshot to send to you and my hubby for the pure ridiculousness of it.

It is hard not to take negative comments to heart but try not to let it get you down girl. Keep doing what you do! Also, I have never tried BBQ sauce on salmon, but think I will have to give it a whirl. Hope you have a great day!
