Start your day with a thick and creamy Chocolate Almond Smoothie more like desire than breakfast. This gluten free, low calorie smoothie (with Vegan option) is what dreams are made of!
My idea of a perfect morning is waking up to a Chocolate Almond Smoothie for breakfast. You know a creamy chocolate-y smoothie bouncing with flavors of vanilla and laden with crunches of almond, a smoothie so ooey-gooey thick you have to eat it with a spoon?
There's nothing like breakfast that tastes like dessert and one that doesn't break the calorie bank too. Hmm...yum....can you imagine it? Can you feel it? Do you want to taste it?
Allow me to introduce you to my little friend Chocolate Almond Smoothie. A simple smoothie made with simple ingredients that you're guaranteed to love. The key to making this smoothie dreamy and creamy is making it the night before. If you love overnight oats, you are going to love this Chocolate Almond Smoothie for breakfast.
Just blend all ingredients together in your blender before you go to bed, let it sit in the refrigerator overnight to thicken and mingle even more and the next morning you will have the thickest and creamiest smoothie you've ever met. It's basically a party with a spoon!
The secret to making this smoothie almond-y and sweet is Silk® Vanilla Almond Creamer. I've been using Silk Vanilla Almond Creamer in my coffee for awhile now and I decided it was just too good not to add to a smoothie! It's silky and creamy with hints of almond flavors.
Silk® Vanilla Almond Creamer is non-GMO, gluten free, lactose free, non dairy and has no artificial colors or flavors. Silk Almond Creamers are available in three flavors: vanilla, caramel and hazelnut. You can get your Silk® Vanilla Almond Creamer at Walmart in the refrigerated section snuggled over by the coffee creamers. Pick some up on your next shopping run!
Thick and creamy, Silk® Vanilla Almond Creamer is the star of this dreamy breakfast smoothie. Make it the night before, right before you go to bed, stash in the refrigerator then in the morning, top with shredded coconut flakes, chocolate and fresh berries for a smoothie that tastes more like chocolate cookie dough than breakfast.
It's so thick you will need a spoon! Wake up to a perfect morning every morning with this Chocolate Almond Smoothie made with Silk®!

This smoothie sounds like a great way to start the day! I know I'd have no problem hopping out of bed if one of these was waiting for me in the kitchen! #client

Whatever it takes right? Thanks David!

Chocolate for brekkie count me in! I love the sounds of this smoothie. I have definitely added creamer to my smoothies in the past when I'm feeling fancy 😉
Megan says
They're the best. I really need to do it more!
Sarah @ Making Thyme for Health says
I'm not a coffee drinker so I love the idea of using that creamer in smoothies! And Almond Joy is one of my all-time favorite flavor combinations. This is my kind of smoothie! 🙂
Megan says
Me too! I made a pumpkin almond joy smoothie last year and I couldn't stop think about it so I made a Silk version!

Yum!! I have never thought of using creamer in a smoothie. I used almond often in my sweet smoothies.

My idea of a perfect morning includes waking up to my coffee, going for a run, and then BRUNCH. But this smoothie wouldn't be an unwelcome addition!
Megan says
Oh brunch, yes! That is when it's a good one which I have trouble finding here.
