Missing Ingredient To Consistency for Losing Weight

Published: Feb 8, 2020 by Megan

The missing ingredient to consistency for losing weight forever is not about finding the perfect diet plan or meal plan to eat. Lasting weight loss means something deeper and I'm going to share with you what that is.

The number one thing women tell me they struggle with in reaching their weight loss goals is consistency. If only "I could follow a meal plan consistently," if only "I didn't have to "start over every Monday or January," if only "I knew exactly what to eat to lose weight," if only "I could stop eating sugar," if only "I could stop self-sabotaging."

If you've said these things, I'm willing to bet you've tried many diets and you did well for a while but then, something happened, and you stopped doing whatever it was that you were doing and went back to old habits and patterns. You probably said something like "I don't have enough willpower and motivation."

The missing ingredient to consistency for losing weight is not the perfect meal plan or perfect diet. It's focusing on something much deeper the HOW.

It's not lack of willpower and motivation...it's lack of consistency.

The issue of you not feeling motivated and not holding yourself accountable to the things you say you want for your health is not because you haven’t found the right Facebook group to motivate you, the right free challenge, or the right meal plan. There’s a deeper underlying issue here - lack of consistency.

When you're looking to make a lifestyle change to lose weight, everything comes down to TWO words: HOW and WHY.

I can teach you the HOW all day long. How to eat, how to workout. I can give you the perfect meal plan and educate you on how to eat all day, but if you don’t address the WHY (aka your mindset) and the way that you’re thinking about yourself and the process of losing weight…the HOW isn’t going to stick.

Missing Ingredient to Consistency is the HOW

If you aren’t addressing your mindset and the root cause of why you need to lose weight, how you talk to yourself, how you show up for yourself…that’s where the disconnect is. That’s why consistency is so hard because you're only focusing on the how.

You’ve done diet programs - probably many of them. But they didn’t work – it didn’t translate into real lasting change because all you focused on was the how.

These are the things I challenge my clients with and is a key distinction in my weight loss program. The mindset and discovering the WHY is the missing ingredient in the vast majority of programs out there. Free challenges don’t get you to the why.

What do I mean discovering the why? I mean what are the stories you’re telling yourself?

  • I’m not good at this
  • I’m scared of failing
  • I failed today
  • I’m too big to workout
  • I’m too busy to prep food

All the conversations you have externally and internally need to be addressed because addressing the HOW isn’t going to fix the beliefs you have about yourself.

The perfect meal plan isn't going to stick unless you address the WHY.

If you're searching for the perfect diet or meal plan to get the right snacks and recipes, that’s not what I’m about. You can chase food and diets all day and can go down a rabbit hole on social media looking for those things, but I’m about transforming you for LIFE and helping you level up so that you can actually change your lifestyle.

I change the way my clients think about how they fuel their bodies for energy, how they move their bodies and exercise so they can stop paying attention to the noise out there and questioning what’s right – doing free challenges, intermittent fasting, drinking celery juice, etc.

To me these things are distractions not transformations. They’re not helping – they’re distracting. It’s your time to level up and become the person you’ve always wanted. If you want to up level, watch my free weight loss training.
