My client Judy escaped Weight Watchers after years of doing it repeatedly. Here’s how she created a sustainable lifestyle and lost weight and why she says it’s something she can do for the rest of her life!

When Judy began weight loss coaching with me, she was still in the Weight Watchers mentality of eating low calorie and as a little as possible all the time, saving up her calories, not eating enough protein and doing too much cardio.

These are the same issues many of my clients who have done Weight Watchers have struggled with.

Weight Watchers instills this mentality of starving yourself and eating as little as possible, but it is the company’s way of keeping you in the loop of losing weight then going back to them after you gain the weight back so they can keep making money.

Because you think Weight Watchers “worked.”

Judy felt Weight Watchers “worked” because she always lost weight when she went back to it. However, it was not until our coaching that she realized that Weight Watchers really did not work since she had to go back to it over and over again.

Weight Watchers does not teach people to build habits and a sustainable lifestyle that’s balanced and how to fuel their body optimally. Judy learned in her journey this was a missing ingredient in Weight Watchers program.

Judy explains in this podcast episode how learning to lose weight responsibly by not starving herself, helped her be more consistent as well as learning maintenance.

Weight Watchers never taught her maintenance and she had no idea how to do maintenance. We worked on several rounds of maintenance during our coaching which helped her understand the scale and how much she really should be eating to maintain her results and feel her best.

Judy shares how she took care of her family while her husband was working internationally for several months while working full-time and learning new habits and mindsets.

How she went on several trips out of country and cruises and did not struggle getting back to her habits like she did while following Weight Watchers.

She shares how her mindset played a huge role in creating her new habits and lifestyle. Listen to this Dish On Ditching Diets podcast episode for Judy’s full story and her advice for you!
