Are You Making Your Smoothie The Right Way

Published: Mar 6, 2018 · Modified: Aug 4, 2023 by Megan

Do you love making smoothies? Warm or cold, a smoothie is a great way to tame a sweet tooth and is one of my favorite ways to add more nutrition to my diet. Fruits and vegetables, I may not eat alone, are easy to sneak into a smoothie. The question is though, are you making your smoothie the right way?

Eating healthy is hard. It takes time, dedication and focus to make healthy eating a habit. There’s also a lot of conflicting information about what it means to eat healthy. Smoothies are a good example of this. While they can be filled with nutrient dense fruit and produce, it's easy to go overboard if you're not paying attention.

Are you making your smoothie the right way? As with any food, smoothies are easy to go overboard with the wrong foods. Find out how to make a better for you smoothie!

As with any food, moderation and portion control are key. Being attentive to the amount of each ingredient, balance of ingredients (i.e. carbohydrates, protein and fat) and serving size is important to ensure a good thing doesn't turn into a bad one. Because it's just as easy to go overboard on healthy food as unhealthy food. That's why I love the new NutriBullet Balance!

With the new NutriBullet Balance, healthy eating just got a whole lot easier! The NutriBullet Balance is a nutrient extractor that connects via Bluetooth to an app on your phone. It does the work for you figuring out the right balance of ingredients to ensure you are getting the proper balance of each one and aren't going overboard.

NutriBullet Balance

What I love about NutriBullet Balance, is how it uses technology to make healthy eating convenient and easy. Simply, open the app and search the database for a recipe you want to make, or you can create your own recipe.

Each recipe lists the ingredients. Once you find one you want to make, you grab your ingredients and blend!

Now, the most amazing part thing about the NutriBullet Balance, is the app is so smart that it actually tells you the right amount of each ingredient to place in the balance cup. Put too much in the cup and it dings at you with a bell. It even tells you when to blend and when to stop.

When you're done, it gives you the nutrition data. Note, the nutrition data is available in each recipe. However, if you put more in the balance cup it recalculates it for you.

And, if you're not a smoothie drinker, you can make soups, dressings, dips and puddings with the NutriBullet Balance. I personally like that I can save my favorites, so I can come back to them quickly whenever I want.

Watch the video below to see how easy it is to make an Almond Butter Broccoli Alliance Smoothie. In all honesty, I was skeptical about putting broccoli in a smoothie, but to my surprise, it was really good! Sometimes even I need to step out of box and the NutriBullet Balance helped me do that!

There’s nothing like serving up a refreshing cool glass of blended nutrients. NutriBullet is an easy tool that shows you how to make a smoothie with the right ingredients and in the right portions. Checkout NutriBullet Balance today and start making smarter smoothies!
