Make juicy, flavorful ground chicken burgers with just 5 ingredients! These lean burgers are packed with protein, healthy fats, and a spicy kick from salsa and seasoning. Perfect for meal prep and quick dinners!
Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium heat. If using an electric griddle or oven, heat to 350 F.
Add all ingredients for the burgers to a small bowl. Using your fingers, mash the avocado and disperse the ingredients evenly throughout the meat.
Divide the meat into even sections and press each section together between your hands to flatten and form into a burger patty.
Place the burgers on the pre-heated grill cooking 5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Remove burgers from grill and serve immediately. I recommend serving on a bun with yogurt dip and avocado slices!
Notes
Mash the chicken mixture gently to ensure everything is evenly mixed. Your hands are the best tool for achieving the right texture.
For juicy burgers, try using an electric non-stick grill. If grilling outside, spray the grill with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
It is best to choose an avocado that is ripe and squishy to the touch. If the avocado is too firm, it will not make the best ground chicken burgers.
Store leftover patties in an airtight container for up to 5 days in the fridge or freeze for up to 3 months. To reheat, thaw overnight and microwave until heated through.
