Hello! Happy Wednesday!
I know the title of this post may seem blunt, but I had to get your attention somehow right? I think all us women can relate to the female cycle affecting how we feel, the activities we do and especially what we eat. I thought it would be interesting to put it out there to see what all the ladies had to say about this subject. Sorry guys!
As you know, I suffered two injuries last year that were eventually pinpointed to having no estrogen. Tomorrow I’ll discuss what happened that led to my estrogen disappearing. For now, let’s say things are moving in the “right” direction because I finally got a period two months ago. While I feel relieved knowing my bones are more protected, I couldn’t hate it more. By the way, I’m not sure how “protected” my bones are considering I’m having foot issues again.
It’s been five years since I’ve had one and now that I finally got it, I want to curl up in a hole and die. Worst. Pain. Of my life. I liked it better when I didn’t have estrogen. I’m tired. I hurt. I can’t eat. I’m throwing up. My breasts are large and in charge, nearly a full cup size larger. My hips and thighs have widened and I feel like a teenager with raging hormones. Is this TMI? Maybe, but estrogen is an important topic for females and health. Be sure to stop by tomorrow to find out how lack of estrogen damages your health.
Now let’s see what I ate! If you’re new to Skinny Fitalicious, What I Ate Wednesday is a post I do every week showcasing my meals from one day. It’s fun to see what other people eat in a day. It’s also great motivation for me to eat balanced and create more delicious recipes!
Breakfast. Egg Muffin and turkey bacon.
Snack. Handful of Trader Joe’s trail mix. This is one of my favorites for two reasons, salt & chocolate. I needed chocolate.
Lunch. Kale salad with low sodium turkey lunchmeat, broccoli and my usual mustard drizzle. I really didn’t want to eat anything for lunch, but I knew I needed something and greens are always a good way to go when you’re not that hungry.
Snack. Berry Green Quinoa Smoothie
Dessert. Chickpea blondie because…chocolate!
The theme here is chocolate and small meals because my stomach hurts if I eat too heavy or too much at once.
