Happy Wednesday Friends!
Well, they say when it rain it pours and it sure is pouring a lot around here! It’s been a whirlwind since having sinus surgery last Wednesday. I swore a few days ago my head was going to explode from congestion then out of no where it went away and I began feeling better. While I still feel like I’m walking on a tight rope, I think this is the turning point and I am so relieved. I don’t know how people do cosmetic surgery because head surgery hurts!
Now I’m slowly climbing out of a pile email, mail and phone calls. It’s crazy what you miss when you’re not a social media a few days. Speaking of social media, my Instagram exploded unexpectedly Monday night when Cooking Light shared one of my recipes. I spent the night obsessively watching the growing number of likes, shares and new followers. It was one of those moments when I couldn’t help but feel grateful for everything I’ve been blessed with even if that has come with a lot of bumps along the way.
Now let’s see some food! This is from last weekend when I was in very rough shape. This is definitely not my normal flare and for that I am sorry but hey, this is real life. If you’re new to Skinny Fitalicious, What I Ate Wednesday is a post I do every week showcasing my meals from one day. It’s fun to see what other people eat in a day. It’s also great motivation for me to eat balanced and create more delicious recipes!
Breakfast. Scrambled egg whites.
With a side of strawberries and apples. Sort of my usual flare minus the protein pancake.
Lunch. Skinny Greek Yogurt Cherry Smoothie. This, definitely is my usual flare. Remember cherries are good for inflammation!
Dinner. Gluten free thin crust pizza with mushrooms. Definitely not my usual flare. After not eating for nearly 4 days, I was starving and all I could think about was pizza. It was bizarre because I couldn’t taste anything and I never eat pizza. I think at this point my body was just really screaming for food.
