In other exciting news, Super Bowl XLIX is in full swing here in Phoenix. The stadium is just a few blocks from my house. Mom and I stalked it last weekend checking out the preparations and trying to take pics. We weren’t the only ones either. A lot of people are wandering around in awe. They’ve been working around the clock to get lights and banners hung. It’s really something and the amount of people here already is crazy. Traffic has been a lot of fun this week. I hope to walk over Sunday and do some people watching. Should be interesting!
Well that’s all I have for you guys today. Now stalk my eats and have a great day lovelies!
Breakfast. An oldie, but a goodie. Two fried eggs whites spiced with garlic powder & oregano with brussels sprouts and baked cinnamon plantain chips on the side. Winter mornings sure make for bad pics. But I sure do love brussels sprouts for breakfast. 🙂
Snack Attack. A skinny raspberry chocolate chip muffin.
Lunch. Was a light one. Sun dried tomato red pepper no bean hummus with raw veggies. I haven’t been all that hungry lately. Sometimes I get busy working on things and forget to eat. That’s something I need to work on. Even during the week it’s been a struggle for me to eat my packed lunch at work. I feel like I’m forcing myself to eat at times, but I know my body needs the nutrients.
Snack Attack. A gala apple, always satisfies the sugar cravings.
Dinner. Was at Opa Life Greek Cafe, a new restaurant at Westgate in Phoenix. Westgate has tons of restuarants, an outlet mall, Univeristy of Phoenix stadium is there as well as the Cardinal stadium. It’s just a few blocks from my house & where Super Bowl XLIX is this year. Several new restaurants have popped up that I’ve been wanting to try. I love Greek food and this place didn’t disappoint. It was a real cafe in the sense that you order at the counter and they bring your meal out to you. I was a little skeptical of the cafe style at first. Sometimes they can have less quality food, but all the food here was fresh and cooked just right. The service was great too. I had the grilled chicken spinach wrap. It came with a side of balsamic and a greek salad. It was delicious! I will definitely be going back.
Mom wanted me to show you hers too. She had the grilled shrimp salad and said the shrimp was amazing.
What’s your exciting news or one thing you’re looking forward to this week?
Lots of Health, Food & Love,
