More...
"I can't succeed because of XYZ [fill in the blank]."
And they always follow it up with something like...
"I have Hashimoto's. I have menopause. I'm injured. I have 2 kids. I work long hours. I have no willpower."
Well I've got news for you... these are excuses. You're NOT THAT unique!
Everyday, all over the world people are doing the same things you are. They get up, go to work, take care of a family, workout, meal prep and eat healthy. All while dealing with chronic illnesses, the crisis of the day and life challenges. These are EXCUSES!
Why is it they can do it and you can't?
Take me for instance, I lost 80 pounds traveling weekly as a consultant working 80 hours a week. Then in 2014-2015, I suffered 3 stress fractures, battled no estrogen, was rear ended breaking my tibia leaving me on crutches for 3 months, was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease, gluten intolerance and was dealing with horrible hip pain due to avascular necrosis (a bone disease).
Yet somehow, through all that crap I was still able to get my butt out of bed everyday workout, prep healthy meals, eat healthy and keep the weight off for 7 years! Oh yeah, and three months ago I had a hip replacement and was working out 1 week after surgery.
So what makes me special?
Nothing! I'm just not willing to not sit on a bench crying about the crappy deck of cards life has given me and using it as an excuse to live an unhealthy life.
For those of you who've followed my story, you know my weight loss started with 10 minutes of walking. That's all it took. One crappy day, going to the beach sitting on a bench crying about how I had no self esteem, hated my job, hated my body, felt unloved and like everything in the world was against me.
Until I saw the people walking on the beach and decided I was going to get my butt off that bench and walk 10 minutes. And you know what?
Those 10 minutes were the best 10 minutes of my life, and those 10 minutes changed my entire life!
Those 10 minutes were enough momentum for me to want to do more. Walk more, eat more greens, drink more water and give up my beloved 500 calorie Starbucks cafe mocha.
A year later, I went from a size 14 to a size 2 losing 80 pounds. To think it all started with 10 minutes!
You see the only thing standing in your way of getting healthy is YOU!
You have to be willing to get off that bench at any cost.
Your health is an investment. Investing it in NOW will payback a dozen times over as you age because exercise and healthy eating is proven to prevent the development of diseases. Diseases that are going to cost you thousands and thousands in the future!
Ask yourself how much money is your health worth?
If it's $50 or $100, then you under value yourself and are not ready for change. People who REALLY want change will do anything for it, and if money is what's holding you back, then this is just another excuse because you're not ready. You are holding yourself back and using excuses as a crutch!
If you're willing to stop making excuses and get off the bench, I want you!
