Hi Guys! How’s your Tuesday? Hopefully, your week is going swimmingly! That’s funny because I’m swimming every morning now that I am in recovery mode. Yes, I’m a goof! I’m still stoked about The Skinny Life‘s awesome review by bloggy award last week!
So it’s been a week & half since my foot injury. I’m still having pain in my foot and struggling to sleep at night. My foot cramps at night being out of the boot and wakes me up. It’s usually 1 or 2 a.m. when it happens and I have no chance of falling asleep after that. I lay in bed restless until my alarm goes off. Throughout the day, it cramps if I don’t walk around enough. I’ve also been rolling a frozen water bottle on it several times a day. This along with my biking & swimming every morning has given me pain relief. I’m not taking any meds other than prescribed anti-inflammatory.
I feel like Bigfoot these days wearing my air cast boot. I’m walking more without my crutches now. While it’s great to have freedom from crutches, it’s clunky walking around in this thing. Everywhere I go people comment about my foot too. I never realized how an injury can spark so much interest & conversation! A woman at work (who I don’t know) complimented on my fashion. She said, “Now that’s a way to wear a boot!” Lol…
It’s a bit challenging dressing for work with my bigfoot boot. I’ve worn a few skinny pants, but dresses and skirts seem to be the easiest so far.
