A 4 ingredient, refreshing Watermelon Pineapple Peach Sorbet that will quench your thirst on a hot summer day!
Happy Friday Lovelies!
I have three words for you. Back it up and I don’t mean what you’re thinking of. I mean back up your computer. Man I am stupid. Actually embarrassed to say I’m an IT consultant because I should really know better.
You may remember a few weeks ago when my MAC died. I was working on photo editing late one night, got up to get a glass of water and came back to a black screen. It just died. No warning. No “hey you might want to save a few things before I call it quits.” After that it wouldn’t start up no matter what fix I tried so I headed to the genius bar for support and was extremely sad when they told me they would have to send it out for repair. Megan without MAC equals one very sad girl.
I’ve had my MAC now for 2 years and have had to get it repaired twice in this year alone. I’m not happy about that, but as with all technology you do get duds. I think mine is a dud. I already spoke to them about trading mine in for a new one and getting a warranty too. When you run a business like I do, you can’t risk losing everything and not having a PC in the event yours is in the shop. Yeah my 13 year old Dell can only open one webpage at a time.
When I returned to Apple, I learned my entire hard drive had been replaced. I nearly had a melt down like a two year old. Then I calmed myself down quickly running through in my head the things I had saved on the hard drive. I realized the only thing I had saved on it was my bank ledger. I never save any of my food pics, invoices or media kit to my computer. I download the pics from my DSLR card and save those files to a USB which I always back up on an external hard drive. I also have home sharing turned on so all my pics are on my phone (that’s good & bad).
Once we ran through the setup MAC, we were able to synch everything. Win! As far as the banking ledger, ended up not being a big deal. The manager at Apple showed me Mint. Have you guys used it? It is the best tool I’ve ever seen! All my finances in one place and automatically synchs with my bank accounts. How did I not know about this? How did I not know about time machine either? Lessons learned. When something fails, there’s always something better to replace it with and back that *ish up!!!
After that “fun”, I desperately needed something to cool off. I whipped up this watermelon pineapple peach sorbet the day before. When I got home, I needed something light and refreshing to rejuvenate me and this was perfect. PS you can make a batch ahead of time and freeze it for later. Perfect summer cool treat!
