Do you ever get caught up in a routine?
I am admittedly the most stuck in a rut routine person. When I’m forced to change, it annoys me and inevitability I am always thankful in the end for being forced to change. Yesterday I couldn’t do my normal Saturday 12-13 mile long run because it has been raining in Arizona for 3 days straight. I was forced to adjust my fitness routine and elected to do spin class & I am so glad I did! All my regular spin peeps were there & we did back to back spin classes. The classes were awesome! I road 50 miles and burnt over 1000 calories in 90 minutes…woot! This is the farthest I’ve ever rode.
I started doing spin this summer so I am still new to the sport. My friend Suzanne got me to go to her 6:30 am spin class when I was visiting her in Chicago and I am so thankful she did! One of the guys in my spin class is an ironman competitor. He asked me if I was a triathalete & I told him no. What a huge compliment! He encouraged me to try biking with a group and train for one. We will see…
So in the end, the forced change thanks to the weather was a good one. And mixing up the fitness routine was a good shake up to my body’s routine.
