3 Smart Strategies To Stop Cravings So You Can Lose Weight!

Chocolate Matcha Balls

May 23, 2014

Hi Guys!  Happy Memorial weekend!  I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for a long weekend. I have no plans which I am fine with. Life has been too crazy since January with my foot injury and Mom’s heart surgery. I need the rest.  My plans are to shop, cook, get my house in order (<-my yard’s a mess) and rest.  I love these long weekends. It makes the following work week seem short.

Today I have an exciting review, giveaway and recipe to share with you!  I was contacted by Maria @  Kiss Me Organics to review their Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder. One of her friends reads my blog and recommended I review their product. I was excited by the opportunity because I love green tea.

While  Kiss Me Organics provided me with a free bag of green tea powder, I was not paid for this review. All opinions are my own of course and I only review products I believe in too.

What is Matcha Tea?  A powder from Japan made from green tea that’s more powerful than regular brew. Green tea powder can be used for drinking tea or added to smoothies and baked goods like pancakes, muffins and breads.

Front of Bag

“You get more antioxidants with matcha because you consume the ground-up leaves,” explains Lyssie Lakatos R.D., coauthor of The Veggie Cure. That means you consume more of the catechins that have been associated with everything from reducing cancer and blood pressure to protecting your brain against aging.  [Source]

Now for the fun! I have a chocolate matcha ball recipe to share with you that was created from this lovely lady‘s recipe. Then you will have the chance to win your own bag of organic matcha!

These chocolate matcha balls are delicious. Icreated this Melon Matcha Smoothie a few months ago. Now that summer is here you should give this one a whirl too.  Enjoy!

I’m always looking for matcha recipes and these look amazing. I’ll have to try them as soon as I can. More accurately, I’ll have to get someone with better cooking skills than mine to make them for me so that I can try them…
