This Healthy Pizza Night Alternative post written by me is sponsored by Albertsons! All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
Everyone loves a pizza night or a pizza party, but if you're like me living healthy and enjoying a gluten-free lifestyle you probably already know this can spark anxiety and questions. You may even feel as if it's impossible to do.
This happened to me years ago when I transitioned to gluten-free eating. I was always questioning things like "where can I find a good tasting gluten-free pizza that other people will like? Should I even be eating pizza?"
Today I'm of the mindset that all foods should be enjoyed in moderation even pizza and that not everything has to be made from scratch in order for it to be gluten-free or good for you. You CAN find healthy alternatives that align with your goals and dietary needs.
Albertsons has been my go-to over the years for gluten-free alternatives. I enjoy shopping there because I know I can always find high-quality, affordable products from their exclusive Open Nature® and O Organics® brands!
Gluten Free Cauliflower Pizzas at Albertson's
Open Nature® Pizza Cauliflower Crusts have been a long time favorite when it comes store bought gluten-free pizzas. I love that they're made with cauliflower as a healthy alternative. They have a delicious, cauliflower crust that's addictively tasty. Even my picky boyfriend loves it!
The pizzas come in a variety of flavors to please every palate - 3 Cheese, Margherita, Vegetable and Pepperoni. The Margherita and 3 Cheese are my favorites and you can easily add more toppings like protein and veggies to them too!
No more spending hours in the kitchen to make a gluten-free pizza. All you do is pop yours in the oven and serve! I make two pizzas at a time, slice it up and serve.
Make your cleanup healthier
I use Open Nature All Purpose Cleaner to quickly and safely wipe down surfaces. It's not only biodegradable which is a plus for the environment but it's also toxin-free. This is so important to me not only as chemicals can be hormone disrupting.
You can easily clean surfaces by spraying and wiping them down with a cloth. I prefer the unscented cleaner, but they have a lemon-scented on too!
I use Open Nature Compostable Kitchen Bags for tossing out trash. They're environmentally friendly, and an easy kitchen swap that will make a difference in the health of our planet!
Biodegradable vs. Compostable
If you don't know what biodegradable or compostable means, here's what they mean. Biodegradable means a material can be broken down in nature and can disappear completely.
Compostable means a product is capable of breaking down into natural elements. When they break down, they release valuable nutrients into the soil, aiding the growth of trees and plants.
While all compostable material is biodegradable, not all biodegradable material is compostable.
Although biodegradable materials return to nature and can disappear completely, they sometimes leave behind metal residue; whereas, compostable materials do not.
Purchasing products that are biodegradable and compostable can have a positive effect on the environment and ultimately, human health!
I buy my Open Nature products at my local Albertsons in Phoenix. You can also find them exclusively at the Albertsons Companies family of stores including ACME Markets, Jewel-Osco, Vons, Pavilions, Randalls, Tom Thumb, Shaw’s, Star Market, United Supermarkets and Carrs/Safeway.
Albertsons also offers Grocery Delivery and Drive Up & Go™ for convenient ways to shop! I like to use it when I'm busy and need a few quick things!
I hope you make your next pizza night tasty, easy and environmentally-friendly with these healthy pizza party alternatives friends!
