Healthy Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • ½ cup whole wheat flour
  • ½ cup applesauce, unsweetened
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp canola oil
  • 4 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chocolate chip morsels
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven 350 degrees
  2. Prepare baking sheet
  3. In a medium bowl, combine applesauce, maple syrup, canola oil & vanilla extract
  4. Add whole wheat flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda and blend well
  5. Add rolled oats and mix thoroughly by hand
  6. Add chocolate chips and gently fold into batter
  7. Drop 1 tablespoon of the batter onto prepared baking sheet
  8. Bake 9 minutes at 350 degrees
  9. Cool on a baking rack
