Healthy Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

- 2 cups rolled oats
- ½ cup whole wheat flour
- ½ cup applesauce, unsweetened
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 4 tbsp canola oil
- 4 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup chocolate chip morsels
- Preheat oven 350 degrees
- Prepare baking sheet
- In a medium bowl, combine applesauce, maple syrup, canola oil & vanilla extract
- Add whole wheat flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda and blend well
- Add rolled oats and mix thoroughly by hand
- Add chocolate chips and gently fold into batter
- Drop 1 tablespoon of the batter onto prepared baking sheet
- Bake 9 minutes at 350 degrees
- Cool on a baking rack
