Waking up to this on a Saturday morning is not exactly what you want to see. Around 4:30 a.m. I heard two men talking and loud noises outside my bedroom window (it’s on the second story). By the time I got up though I didn’t see anything. Thirty minutes later the police were next door at my neighbors house.
There’s been a wave of car thieves in my area. Although I live in a gated community, they still seem to find their way in. I don’t leave my cars outside, but a lot of people do because their garage is their storage space. Thankfully everything I need is in my kitchen. You can have my car, but don’t mess with my kitchen! 🙂
Speaking of food, I’m hungry so let’s see some food! If you’re new to Skinny Fitalicious, What I Ate Wednesday is a post I do every week showcasing my meals from one day. It’s motivational to see what other people eat in their day and also inspires me to eat balanced and to continue creating more delicious recipes for you!
Breakfast. Paleo coconut pancakes with berries. These are irresistible.
Brussels sprouts hash with roasted red peppers and eggs. So easy!
Lunch. I wasn’t hungry enough for lunch so I ate a smorgasbord of snacks while I did school work. First up was no bean hummus (similar to this one) and carrots.
Greek yogurt with hemp hearts and strawberries with a little drizzle of honey.
Zucchini chocolate espresso brownie. The last one. 🙁
Dinner. Roasted broccoli, sweet potato and grilled turkey tenderloins.
What’s the scariest thing you ever woke up to?

Scary!!! The scariest thing I ever woke up to was my dogs barking making me think someone was in my house! so scary!~ all of your food looks soo delicious!
That is one reason why I couldn’t have a dog.
stealing cars? oh no! but you are right, I’d rather them steal my car then kitchen. LOL! for sure. haha. be safe!
Although I guess getting to the grocery store might be a problem. Lots of Ubers!
That sounds scary but a kitchen thief would be worse! Don’t take my oven! Or my fridge. Unless insurance will pay for new ones, that is!
Wouldn’t that be a pain but maybe you’d get better ones in return? haha!
I have been dreaming about those brownies ever since you blogged about them. Yum!!
They’re meant to be made!
Yum! I love coming to your blog and gawking at all your food. And yes, I agree. Take my car but don’t even get near my kitchen.
haha thank you!
That pancake stack looks YUMMY, and I hope your car stays safe! I’m thankful for police/security officers. That zucchini brownie sounds delicious.
I think I could live on pancakes alone.
No bueno! But hey, your food looks AWESOME, as usual! Glad that you’re safe and that your car (or your kitchen) were not harmed! 🙂
Thanks, me too!
Let’s talk about the fact that my kitchen fuse blew on Saturday (coming home from my run to that was fun) and then the microwave was messed up and now we have no microwave. I reheat my coffee every morning. THIS IS TORTURE
OMG. That sounds like torture. I don’t know what I would do, probably cry. haha!
YIKES!!! My complex peeps use their garage as storage too! Irks me cause there are not enough parking spaces period so if you have guests, it sucks!
Food is always yummy!
Parking is the same problem here because the houses are so closer together.
oh my, that is nerve wracking!! D: i guess i am the same way, you can mess with me or my things, but NOT my FOOD!! my kitchen is my me place <3 🙂 those pancakes look sooo good! and i've been all over the hases and yogurt bowls lately too, but need to get back to eating hemp seeds! i love them, but it's been a while. hope you're staying safe!
So far so good!
