Hi Guys! Happy Sunday from sunny Phoenix.
While the rest of the country’s enduring the coldest winter ever, it’s been gorgeous here. Perfect for getting outdoors and drinking smoothies. You guys are lucky. I’ve been so distracted with the weather this post almost didn’t make it up. Any excuse to get outside – walk, shop and eat. After Mom left Monday, she texted the next day saying it was below zero in Wisconsin and wished she’d stayed until March. I don’t blame her. I kind of wish she’d stayed a bit longer too. It’s hard when your family lives so far away especially as they get older. I’ve spent the weekend soaking up the solitude. It feels strange being alone after having a house guest for many months. The house is quiet. Almost too quiet.
Today’s a much needed rest day for yours truly. I’ll be whipping up paleo pancakes, testing new recipes, cruising the blogosphere for inspiration and getting my taxes together (ugh).
