Hi Guys! Happy Tuesday!
I haven’t done one of my update posts in awhile so here’s a peak at what I’ve been up to lately. A few of my favorite workout and everyday things I’ve been treating myself to. Don’t forget to scroll to the end for a special giveaway for you. A few things for me, one big thing for you!
Stretch Out Strap. I wish I would’ve bought this ages ago. It’s a life saver. I can stretch myself every which way like my PT does. Before I couldn’t quite get the kinks out. With this, I’m able to target exactly what I need.
Balance pods to strengthen my feet, legs and hips. I know these look weird. They feel a million times weirder. They’re really hard to stand on and frankly I’m not about to bring them to the gym or work. I stand on them when I work from home or prepping food in the kitchen. I wouldn’t call it fun, but it is helping.
Lululemon Pace Pusher capris. I am in love with these. They’re light, cozy with mesh in the back like these that I showed you last week. Please excuse my hair mop. I really need to do something about it.
Lululemon Wild Tank. I’m dying over how light and functional these are.
Thera-Band Flexbar. This is for that awful tennis elbow I have. I’ve been seeing an occupational therapist for it. The pain’s finally gotten under control enough for me to begin strengthening it. I can lift things, but twisting and turning things is painful.
Gaiam Balance Ball Chair. My PT mentioned I should get one of these to help my hip alignment and core strength. I thought I’d look like a freak with it at work, but a couple others have one too. It’s crazy comfortable. I’m completely uncomfortable when I sit in a real chair now.
Trigger point dry needling at Foothills Rehab for my calf. Since my first injury, I’ve had a terrible knot-like pain in my calf. No one’s ever been able to tell me why. My PT believes the muscle fibers were strained from wearing a boot so long and my femur-hip weakening also put extra force on it. Everything went to this one spot. We joke that it’s a tumor. She recommended dry needling to disengage the muscle fibers. What she didn’t tell me was how painful it would be. I had pain for 24 hours then suddenly it was gone and so was the tumor. Hoping this did the trick for good and the knot doesn’t come back.
Marc Jacobs Disc Bangle. This isn’t technically a fitness thing, but there’s really something you should know about me. I’m a bracelet hoarder. In the summer, I like to wear as many bracelets as I can fit on my arm with my strappy watches. That’s what happens when you don’t wear sleeves half the year.
Now it’s giveaway time!
