I have something exciting to share with you today and it's called Gigabody.com! Gigabody is a website providing motivating and empowering online workout videos to help you rock a healthy lifestyle. With Gigabody, you can find all your favorite workouts and do them anywhere, anytime.
Gigabody was created is a small company started by a team of San Francisco fitness fanatics. Gigabody.com offers online workouts that are only offered on their site. You won't find them on other online sites that have workout videos or a DVD in the store. The Gigabody workouts are led by 1 of 8 amazing fitness instructors. The ones I experienced were great! The style of workout videos offered ranges from HIIT to Barre. There really is something for everyone. They also offer short or long workouts, which is perfect for someone who is short on time and needs a workout quickie.
Here's how Gigabody works. You sign up for a monthly membership ($8.99/month). After you setup a short profile, you browse the videos to find what's right for you. When you hover over a video, it gives a brief description of the workout and what equipment you may need along with the intensity level, rating and length of time. At any time, you can filter the videos by time length, workout style, intensity or collection if you're looking for something specific.
Once you select something, you hit play and go! You can hit pause or stop anytime, but after you're done you are encouraged to rate the video. Gigabody.com really values the feedback so they can make future workouts even better and tailer to viewers needs. The website also tracks your metrics so you can see what videos you have logged, any you favorited or recently viewed. It's nice to have all that information quickly at your fingertips.
Now before I tell you what I think let me be up front by saying I've never liked workout videos or working out at home. I've always been a get outdoors or head to the gym kinda gal, but not everyone has those options. A great fitness option for those who do need to workout at home are online workouts. These have become increasingly popular for their variety and convenience. At home workouts have come a long way since the 90's. That's probably the last time I did one.
For this review, I tried 3 different workouts; Fitness Plateau, HIIT and 20 minute Stretch. I didn't love fitness plateau. It felt slow and way too easy for my fitness level. It was rated a level 2, but felt more like a level 1. But for someone who doesn't life weights regularly or is just beginning this is a good option. As for HIIT, I was a big fan. It had me sweating like crazy and I can't remember ever sweating with any home workout I'e done. I especially loved Stretch. Stretching in general is not something I do well on my own and my injury has forced me to make it more of a priority. I could see myself using a service like Gigabody.com to challenge myself to stretch more and learn the right way to do it.

This is a great idea for those that don't have a gym membership. Do they do exercises with weights though? I love watching videos when I am too t
lazy to drive to the gym but I've done my videos numerous times so having something new would be nice.

This sounds amazing! I like that it's so cheap - in snowy New England, this would be necessary. I would definitely try HIIT or barre.
